Now take the dark colour and apply it in short strokes from the same starting point and in the same direction. The dark colour must not overlap the medium colour.

Now take the light colour. Work in the opposite direction now. Start a little outside the area that is already painted and again use strokes in a single direction, but staying within the existing fan shape. Do it lightly and randomly, so that you can still see the medium colour.

When working with Water Make-up preferably use separate brushes for light and dark colours.

You can create accents by adding thin lines using the dark colour and a fine brush. You do not have to wait until the previous layer of colour is entirely dry. For a more playful effect, the colours can blend into one another a little.
